PAAWBAC End Of Year Reflections

December 22nd, 2021

Greetings PAAWBAC Friends and Supporters:

There are many experiences that could qualify as life-changing, and the impact of COVID-19 in 2020 and 2021 has not only changed how we go about our daily lives but it has also affected how PAAWBAC pursues its mission. We would like to share our reflections from the past 18 months that we have been together as a relatively new Board, with two (2) long-time “wise” members and five (5) new eager members. We want to share our gratitude for you, our community, who have continued to support PAAWBAC. We appreciate your ideas and continued guidance and counsel.

Although we have not had the chance to meet all together as a Board in person, we have met monthly on Zoom to continue to serve our PAAWBAC community based on a survey we conducted early in 2020. We took to heart your suggestions and we hope you noticed. Below are some highlights of 2020 and 2021:

1. PAAWBAC E-Newsletter - We have produced an e-newsletter to keep us in touch with one another. We took the opportunity to conduct interviews with our Monarch Leaders and Woman Warriors on what they have been doing to feature them in our e-newsletters. If you have ideas or suggestions for our e-newsletter, please write to us at paawbac@gmail.com. We would love to hear from you!

2.  Funding and sponsorship to local community efforts in line with our mission.  We are proud and honored to have supported the following community organizations:

Category: Combat Anti Asian Hate

Category: Domestic Violence

Category: Community

As we look forward to 2022, we plan to continue our e-newsletter and funding and sponsorship of community efforts. In addition, we have begun a redesign of our website and we are looking forward to rolling it out in Spring 2022. We would really like to gather in person with you and will consider this as the year unfolds.

We continue to be excited about working together in our shared vision to continue PAAWBAC’s legacy of supporting and advocating on behalf of API women and their families. Here’s to a more joyful and healthier year for you and your families in 2022!
