PAAWBAC has promoted a variety of programs since its inception
that have brought together PA women to empower their community.
Among our strongest and most lasting traditions are the prestigious
Woman Warrior Awards and Catalyst Fund.
WOMAN WARRIOR AWARDS
The Woman Warrior Awards were established in 1983 to recognize
and honor Pacific-Asian American women in the Bay Area for
their achievements and service to the community. Dozens of
women have been honored since its inception. The awards are
presented at a fundraising event whose proceeds fund PAAWBAC's
Catalyst Fund.

the WW Awards
THE CATALYST FUND
In 1983, PAAWBAC established a scholarship fund to support Asian-Pacific
women entering nontraditional fields and/or re-entering the
workforce. In 1998, this fund was expanded and refocused to
meet the challenging needs of women in transition as they enter
the 21st century.
